CSI Gives Back is busy planning for our 2022 Gala on April 30th, and we’re looking for new community partners to help us achieve our mission. Our annual galas support children on the First Coast, and our inaugural event in 2019 raised over $20,000 to purchase much-needed uniforms for students. Later that year, we provided 500 backpacks and close to 3,000 school supplies to Sadie T. Tillis Elementary School students and teachers. Our 2021 Gala was held at Epping Forest Yacht Club on June 25th. Our 160 attendees followed CDC health guidelines while enjoying the “Evening in Rio” themed décor and entertainment. The event raised over$21,400 for clothing, school supplies, and uniforms for First Coast students.
This year, we’re holding the event at Generations in Aviation venue at Craig Field, 724 Wright Brothers Drive in Jacksonville, at Atlantic Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road. The event-themed “Come Fly with Me” will feature 1950s Rat Pack music and admiring glamourous aviation vehicles. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best 1950s glamourous evening wear. Diamond level partners will receive ten gala tickets and premier level logo placement on all event materials, social media, web, and digital marketing. We also offer partnerships at the Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels. Returning partner Kevin Cook, managing partner of the law firm Orr|Cook says: “Our firm has proudly supported CSI Gives Back since its inception. As with most great things, it’s really about the people–and the people behind CSI Gives Back who genuinely care about our community and have invested their own time and resources to make a difference. I know firsthand that these are good people doing good for others. If CSI Gives Back gets behind a cause, it’s a no-brainer that Orr|Cook will contribute its time and resources too.”
The Gala will also feature a silent auction, and we’re currently seeking donations from local companies. Last year, donations ranged from a local relaxation basket from Visit Jacksonville to an all-inclusive travel package to Rio de Janeiro from HelmsBriscoe Travel. All proceeds from the Gala support Duval County Schools and social workers. There are thousands of families in our community who struggle to provide the basics for success in school for their students. The funds we raise help buy school uniforms, backpacks, supplies, and other items for students in need. Richard Stein Jr. of the Wellhouse Company says, “Our mission at Wellhouse is to build a legacy of partnership through insurance and risk advisory. We think CSI Gives Back’s mission of finding local,community-focused organizations that make a difference across the First Coast is perfectly aligned with ours.”Our 2022 Gala promises excellent food and entertainment–and the chance to help change lives, one backpack at a time.
